keep on fighting
Thursday, February 21, 2013,
i've never spoke to him. not even a word. the first time i saw him was in an event, where he was elected as the president and there i was, at the side, writing every minute of the meeting. when his name was called to give a speech, he said, "memang ana ragu kebolehan ana untuk menjadi presiden, tetapi ana percaya, perlantikan ini amanah dari Allah. dan insyaAllah, ana akan buat yang terbaek ana mampu". In his speech, he also quoted a saying by the great leader, Saidina Umar Al-Khattab. from the way he talked, u know he is not just an ordinary person. insyaAllah, he will b a good leader.
but not long after that, i heard that he has been having recurrent pneumothorax. he has been in and out of the ward a few times. and a few days back, i was told that he was admitted into UMMC for a surgery called lobectomy.
me and a few of my juniors went to visit him. Subhanallah, he was so skinny, however the smile on his face showed no sign of fading. In fact it gets wider when he saw us. My brain started to work like a typical medical student's brain. The moment i opened my mouth, he was intruded with all the questions regarding his conditions. and i was told that besides he was diagnosed with a bullae at the apex of the right lung, he was also diagnosed with Marfan's.
But a conversation stopped my heart.
Good luck akhi utk pembedahan esok.
InsyaAllah. doakan ana. semoga pembedahan berjaya, kalau tidak pon, semoga Allah layakkan ana SYAHID.
even with all those words said, the smile stay, fixed on his face.
may he gets well soon so he can continues his journey dlm medan dakwah and tarbiyah ni. insyaAllah
