mr.heart, dont give up. she needs u!
Wednesday, March 7, 2012,
tell the patient, whatever she does, dont get pregnant. it's high risk. her mortality rate increases to 50% during delivery.
proff, can we correct her by giving heart transplant?
in her condition, even her lungs are effected. if u wana fix her u need to find a donor for lungs too. it's hard enough to find a heart donor, u think u can find a person that will donates his heart and lungs too?
if we only do cardiac transplant?
then, she will start developing pulmonary hypertension. and there's possibility, her lungs might explode.
so there i stood, dumb-founded. she's only 27. only 5 years older than me, and here the consultant was asking me to break the bad news to her. that there's actually NOTHING i can do to help her. do u know that normal mortality rate during delivery is only 0.0023%, but look at her numbers. she sat weakly on the bed with branula attached to the dorsum of her right hand, and nasal prong stuck into her nose. yet, she's still smiling. but here i am, COMPLAINING when god tests me with the smallest thing. FROWNING when some of the things in life do not turn out the way i want it 2 be. CRIED for the stupidest reasons. syafiqah, it's time u learnt to be thankful.
thank u Allah for this encounter. thank you for opening my eyes.
life is more than just having good things, life is also about appreciating.
